HEAVEN HAVE CALLED HOME ONE OF HIS ANGELS

 Our great animal friend Craig Kleber from Brentwood, LA, USA --I would like to call him our AWL Ambassador (or Saint), is one of a kind. He is following our cases with a big heart and passion. He is an amazing true animal friend. However, his love and care for animals doesn't only go one direction.

Yesterday, AWL received this email and a donation check, 1000 dollar, in Cachito's memory from Craig.

We (AWL) also want to send our respect and love to the Camacho family.

RIP Cachito

In the name of 'Cachito' (his guardians were the Camacho family) - a rescued dog who was loved by all who knew him. Cachito crossed the Rainbow Bridge last night after fighting illness, but he was surrounded by love and care so his journey started happily. He lived a long life on this earth and now will live forever with his doggie friends. I gave him some special treats and vitamins a few months ago and he wrote me a nice note on Saturday night that I want to share.

"Hi Mr. Craig, my name is Cachito. I am not feeling well. My sister Araceli and my mom have taken good care of me all of these years and I so thank them for all that and the happiness they have given me! I think my stay here will not be for long."

Earlier on the blog, we wrote about the dog Moschino that was hit by a car, left with a broken leg and pelvis on the street. He was brought to a veterinarian by volunteers from Adcr Naples. AWL helped them finding a foster home, and wow Moschino got the best foster home ever. 

The Family Butt open their home and hearts for this little fellow. He got so much love, attention and therapy during his stay (exercise and love, the best combo)

Kathryn, its people like you that makes our World look better. Your service, help and effort for this little guy is heart warming. Happy Tears!

From us, AWL, thank you for the best wonderful foster home ***** Moschino is now in Northern Italy with his family that adopted him.

Hard life, right?

I get to hang out with a gorgeous family

Even allowing me to be a  couch dog Not bad for being a former street dog, and....black dog.


Black dogs are very hard to adopt away. Shelters are full with black dogs so the joy was tremendous when the rescue group found a family up north.

I get to stay up late and watch tv. What a great life!

Thank you so much loving family Butt for opening your hearts for me, giving me a chance in life to find true happiness.

TRUE HEARTS THROUGH GENERATIONS

There are people with big heart(s). In the middle of their own stressful days takes a moment to think of the poor dogs destiny in Italy. The money are being earmarked for the Church dogs.

HELP JUMBO FROM ENDING UP IN A CAGE

 Urgent please this is urgent. Never would we have thought this would happen.

Remember we talked about the happy Church dogs? 2 female that AWL had spayed and rescued all the puppies, and then a male turned up Jumbo that loved the girls and they loved him. They lived happy there together, the church people gave them food and love and AWL medications. 

Today we received the tragic news that they got a new Pries and he does not want the dogs there. He will call the police!!!! We know what that means. Horrible shelter and never coming out again.
The two female are safe to a home but we have Jumbo.

He is a young male, full of love and we need a home or a foster right away. This is the sweetest thing ever.

We will help with all costs if you can help us take him away from the fact that he will end up behind bars.

He is a happy stray. I have met him.

AIUTO HELP ITS HEARTBREAKING

 Non vorrei dover aggiungere altro...
Ma di fronte alla 'misericordia' che un uomo di chiesa mostra nei confronti degli animali a me...cadono le braccia...
Jumbo ha circa un anno e mezzo. Vive nel cortile di una piccola chiesetta di Castel Volturno, in provincia di Caserta, insieme ad altre due cagnoline, Chicca e Bobby, una delle quali ormai anziana, che hanno sempre vissuto lì.
L'anno scorso, prima dell'arrivo di Jumbo, AWL si occupò della loro sterilizzazione. Non hanno mai dato nessun problema e nessun fastidio...amano la loro libertà, il loro cortile tranquillo, la loro chiesa...ma il prete è cambiato. E' entrato sgomitando in una realtà che prima di quel momento apparteneva più di diritto ai cani che a lui...e ha deciso che i cani sono 'antigienici', che 'danno fastidio', che la notte non fanno dormire la gente...e ha chiamato i vigili dicendo che quei cani dovevano sparire.
La catechista che si è sempre occupata di dar loro da mangiare si è opposta ed è riuscita ad ottenere un paio di giorni per trovare un'alternativa al canile. Lei riuscirà ad occuparsi di Chicca e Bobby...ma chi penserà a Jumbo?
Jumbo ha le ore contate. Qui la gente scrupoli non se ne fa. O il cane sparisce...o lo fanno sparire...
Noi siamo al collasso, troppi cani, troppe chiamate troppi abbandoni...Jumbo ha bisogno di uno stallo urgente più oggi che domani!

HAPPY ENDING FOR ALL OF US

OH we are so happy!! I think the new owner to trixi and Moose are happier than us.

Remember the story about Trixi the Basset Hound mix brought up fro Italy.

She had a family but the family left back to the States and left her in a fosterhome. The foster-home contacted me asking to help find a home for Trixi. They had tried for one year but people thought she was to old?!?@! 7 years-old

We brought her up to Germany, treated her and my very good friend Tove and her Per adopted Trixi. Trixi stayed in my home for 3 weeks and we got so attached to her. She is the most wonderful dog I ever met. My children adored her.

Per drove down from Stockholm to Souther Germany and Picked her and Moose up and returned the next day. Amazing people!
Moose parents linked up and everything went wonderful.

We get every day updates and everyone are so happy and adores their new members.
