Heading down to Napels Italy Shelter Mission

MISSION TIME

With my best volunteer we drove down to Napoli, Italy again. We were so exited and with the SUV full of dog food that we bought in Germany, we were even more exited. --Thank you for your donations, we cannot do this without your help.

We picked up beautiful Nicky and brought her with us to Rossella Shelter. A shelter AWL helped during 2009-2010 and now we are back. Rossella had moved and her shelter was top. Nice and clean.

Its a tough job carrying all these heavy bags...but who said we couldn't. Getting nice summer arms.

As always so many beautiful souls. This guy was so happy to get love and company. He is waiting for his home.

Rossella has worked with rescuing dogs for over 30 years. Amazing since it is a very tough work with no salary.

Olivia 10 years old wrote her first column for Magazine Tidningen Nära how it is to help her mom rescuing animals. An honest and warm story about her firecracker mom. Hope you enjoy it 

ART DAY WITH AWL VOLUNTEER OLIVIA

My young beautiful daughter Olivia, (7 years old) made this Acrylic painting together with me. I was so surprised when she painted AWL, surprised in a happy way. Amazed that when we draw animals, she always think of rescuing animals.

ITALIAN MISSION

 Olivia and I started our mission trip from Southern Germany, and took our first break in Switzerland. It is gorgeous there. Olivia decided that she would build her own farm there, and I could drive down from Germany visiting her, whenever I wanted.

 We drove to Northern Italy to a home were they also love animals, especially those that are in extra need of care. Like the German Shepard, Lena from Serbia. Lena was hit by a tram and lost her front-leg, also some parts from her other two legs. Its amazing to see how fantastic Lena can run in the grass, even faster than me. Her spirit is so high and loving.

 Olivia had a wonderful time, playing with new dogs.

 Federica and her mother Tittie are wonderful mother and daughter. Before leaving they packed my SUV full with cleaning material, like brooms, mops, detergent, soap, garbage bags, wipes and dog food. What an amazing family! Thank you so much for your hospitality and generosity. That's Amore.
