MIELE THE WONDERFUL WONDER DOG

Yesterday evening Miele went to have her bandage changed and a check up. She got A LOT of energy this girl

She gained a little more weight, 16.250
Blood work, it was not 100% but better.
We spoke about different surgeries, and different specialists are involved in the team. When we have "special" cases our veterinarian "hires" in specialists.
This morning will MIele be steralized. She will NOT have her half leg amputated since the other leg is really bad and a very long surgery needs to be done (next time) She need her other leg to support on. (I will explain everything later today)
Her "leg" will be cut a little piece of the bone and close the wound to avoid infections.

All prayers today for Miele and the veterinarian team.

Update from the evening. Miele is doing wonderful. She is crazy wild like no surgery had been taken place.

We also want to thank our wonderful volunteer, Brittany McMinn Beckwith for sponsoring half the amount from this #1 Surgery.

SATURDAY CHECK UP FOR MIELE

The days between veterinarian visits, Pio and Martina changes the bandage --air out a little too--

They went to Dr Vittorio and then to Villa Felice (ER 24/7 animal clinic) to have x rayed made (Dr Vittorios friend/colleague)

Good news, Miele gained 100 g (16,1 kg) and Erlichia was negative.
Not so good news, but we expected it; her broken leg(s) has not healed Looks like they are still completely broken. The decision to put back bandage was made to support her "leg" when she walks.
She will need surgery.
Amputation and sterilization at the same time, and then surgery to fix her broken legs.
Total today medicine (buying bandages every time) and x ray 47.80 euro

MIELE IS THE WONDERDOG THAT TEACHES US HOPE

The bandage was changed again this late afternoon. The "wound" cleaned, aired, and disinfected with new products. We bought a betadine creme (11.80 euro) to put on the wound.
Miele got a new type of bandage raping (cue) on half her leg so when she walk she doesn't touch the dirt with the bandage.
Now she looks like Pistorius
Blood test, Emocromo, QPE, Biochimico and Erlichia. The Emocromo result is compared with the first one and nothing has changed (yet) The value DR V thinks means she got Erlichia. We bought Vibravet (antibiotic)
Tomorrow we will get more results from the blood tests.
So right now 2 different antibiotic.

Also she didn't gain any weight (yet)
Hopefully surgery next week if the two antibiotic kicks in and drives out the infection, and new blood tests will show ok.
Prayers still please for our brave Miele
THANK YOU FOR YOUR PRAYERS AND HEALING AND LOVE
